Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother can be made at home!

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother is undoubtedly very nutritious, but you don't have to spend up to $7 or more for it and get twice the amount!
Using apple scraps, cores and bruised or old wrinkly apples that are past their eating prime, you can add them to a jar, cover with water and some sugar, top with a coffee filter or cheesecloth with rubber band and just wait. That's all. After a while, it will create it's own mother. You can just keep adding apples, water and sugar until it's at the top. The less air, the better anyway.
*The length of time it takes depends on the weather, temperature of your kitchen, etc. The warmer, the faster it will ferment. No hurrying for all good things anyway! Leave a bit from last batch in new jar and transfer the mother as well to give it a good start.
It's a great way to use your scraps if you don't compost and in return you will get a great, nutritious product for pennies!
