Cough, Cough, Cough....

It's that time of the year! Don't buy ineffective remedies that are loaded with high fructose corn syrup. Make your own!

The air is getting dry, the wind is blowing, the throat is scratchy and germs are abound!

There are well-known herbs that are great for these symptoms. It's not always convenient to make tea with them but you can make cough drops with them.

Every year I make cough drops for my family. I know what's in it and the quality. I don't even mind when little ones suddenly go "cough, cough" after they're made. Not only just for coughs, but a little nugget of immune boosting power. Even though it's made with sugar, (coconut sugar) I don't mind their indulgence daily if needed.

You can change up the herbs you want! Pictured above has a combination of:

  • Elderberries

  • Licorice Root

  • Echinecea Root

  • Goldenseal Root

  • Marshmallow Root

  • Slippery Elm Bark

  • Linden flower & leaf

  • Elecampane Root

  • Ginger Root

I used Coconut Sugar because I had it around, but you can use any sugar you want. You can even add honey, but the beneficial enzymes will be killed once it's heated.
